Wow, what a blast from the past!

The weekends never last long enough you know. I am still trying to get in Monday mode.

It's cold here and how I long for Spring! I want to get outside and take pictures with my new camera George got me for Christmas. You know there's only so many pictures you can take inside. The lighting just isn't right.

I spent most of the afternoon over at this website yesterday. There's some awesome tutorials on digital makeovers. It's a must see! I bought her powder action and was practicing with it last night. I don't have a photo finished yet to show you though. :-( Not yet!

I got this CD for George at Christmas and I have been listening to it. I love John Lennon!
I don't know why my taste in music is changing. I used to be a Country Music Fan, but I think that some of there music today is a little bit...lets say, not so country. I still like the oldies but goody country music, but have pretty much started listening to the Beatles, John Lennon, and people like that.
Maybe the music is just hitting my inner spirit a little bit more!

Well enough for now, got to get back to doing what I need to be doing!

{New Kit}

Oh I have another kit that I put in the store yesterday! I love the colors. It's really something that I normally don't do, but I stepped outside my box and got a little creative with the colors.

Oh man it is cold out tonight! It dropped fairly fast too.
We went out on the town for a few hours today. It was nice getting out, but there was too many people. Not real comfortable with that. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Red Lobster too, and afterwards a Starbucks treat! Yum Yum!

Tomorrow, I don't know what we are doing. I'd like to do some reading, some watching television and maybe scrapping a few pages. Just whatever floats my boat! lol!!!

DD got her report card at the end of the week! All B's and one C. They've changed the grading system around and if you have a 90%, it's considered a B, 80% C, etc. Wonky I know. But if they would have kept the old grading system, she would have had A's and B's. We are still extremely proud of her!!!!

Well it's late late late! Going to head off to watch TV so I can get to sleep. It actually makes me tired!
Hey Mom, if you are reading this....call me. I called Friday and Richard said you were gone. I think that he forgot to give you the message!

{It's Cold & Icy}

The temperature is going down down down. I am about to freeze. I hate turning the heat up too much, it tends to dry us out, and it's hard to breath it's so stuffy.
DD was out of school today. The second snow day of the season. **Edited** Just found out DD will not be in school tomorrow either. It's been called off already! Woo Hoo, another snow day, or in our case, ice!
DH went to the store today and didn't have any problems until trying to get the car back into the garage. Our driveway is a solid sheet of ice.
It was snowing yesterday, not much accumulation, and it got darker here about an hour ago and started snowing again. I don't think its in the forecast, just left overs from the ice storm I guess.
I've been working on some layouts. I've been so busy designing, that I've lost sight in doing my layouts. That was originally the reason I got into scrapbooking; to scrap my family and I. To document our lives. Well I decided that instead of designing this last weekend I would get some layouts done. So, that and catching up on some sleep is just what I did! Yay..Good for me!!!
I swore that I was going to start on Taylor's Baby Album this year and have a few pages done. Some of them I won't post to honor her privacy. Those I've printed and put in her book, only for her eyes!
This layout is when she was 15 months old. The page that I am omitting for my blog and for the galleries, is nothing but journaling, and it's about her first 15 months. It was way fun to go back and document so much about her.

Here's a layout that I did about one of our vacation trips. This particular one was in 2001 when we went to Glacier National Park in Montana and crossed the border to Canada to go to Waterton-Glacier Park.

{We have Ice}

We have about 3 inches of sleet here in Mid-Missouri. I just went out and looked, it's raining now and freezing on everything. There's no way anyone could get out right now. Nothing but a solid sheet of ice now. It's gathering on the tree in our front yard, I pray that we don't lose power! It's getting colder here too! There's two more systems coming our way too! Yikes!!!

{Never Made It To Bed Yet}

Well it's 8 a.m. and I have never made it to bed yet! I am getting tired but have to upload a few kits for my newest member of my Creative Team. I'd like to introduce my newest member, Nicole. You all know her as Summer in the galleries. You all can see her gallery here and here

I't started raining here about 6 a.m., nothing heavy, just a drizzle for now. It's not cold enough to freeze yet! My back is really killing me. I was up all night and it's really starting to bother me. As soon as the files are loaded and I get them to my newest CT's, I must go to bed. I had a burst of energy last night, first burst that I've had in about a month. Probably shouldn't have overdone it. But, I've been having a terrible time sleeping anyway. DD doesn't have school today, so can rest better when she is home.
Ok I think that I am starting to ramble now and I'm having to keep hitting the backspace key. Can't type when my brain is tired and it is tired.

This weekend I want to work on some layouts, spend time with my family, watch TV, read, work on organizing my photos and work on a photography project. I could go on and on and on. My list of things to do is so long that I actually have 3 note pads going.

{Long Weekend Ahead}

With the weather prediction that we have in store for us, we will be home the whole weekend.
They are calling for a quarter inch of ice and six inches of snow for us here over the weekend. Good thing DD is off from school until Tuesday. DH went to the grocery store and got what we'd need for the next several days. I just hope that the heavy ice doesn't knock out our power. The ice gets so heavy that power lines break, or tree limbs break and damage the power lines, etc. We don't have a fireplace, so it would get pretty cold here. The temperatures are suppose to dip down in the single digits. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that we don't lose power!

All those sleepless nights are kind of catching up with me. I was up most of the night last night, off and on. I ended up getting about 3 hours of sleep. So I am drained and exhausted and I am going to go lay down on the couch and try to get relaxed and then hopefully off to lala land.

I did one just like this for my DD. Except for the ones that I printed out, I photocopied both of our foot prints from when we were born and made brushed and stamped them on our page before I printed it out. It was really neat, now she'll always have something extra special on both of our layouts!

Oh I wanted to say, ALL of the Christmas stuff is down and packed back up and put away! We finally did that chore on Sunday afternoon. I love Christmas, it never lasts long enough, but I hate taking down the tree afterwards. I procrastinated so much, but finally said...everything else has to be put on hold, we've got to get everything put away again. I think that my living room looks so bare without my tree though. Oh well, in just 11 more months I'll have it up again! lol
These days, 11 months is nothing. Time is really going by fast. I looked at the calendar today and gasped. It's going to be the 10th tomorrow.....hey where did the last 9 days go to?!

Well I think that's it for now. If I wasn't such a bad blogger, I wouldn't have to try to keep track of what I've done in between posts. Bad bad blogger!

Off to go shopping today with DD. She needs a few more things before heading back to school tomorrow. I am going to miss having her around during the day. What the hell am I going to do when she leaves for college in a couple of years? I know I will be lost and don't even want to think about it....I still have time to prepare. Looking forward to getting my Christmas tree and decorations down tomorrow and put all that away. I always wait until the first of the year before I do that stuff. Always wait until DD goes back to school. Then the holidays are officially over.
Well the family is waiting for me, so better go for now.

{Happy New Year}

Gosh I can't believe that it is 2007 already! Wow, where did 2006 go?! We stayed in and watched movies and I worked on a freebie for my blog here. Today, we probably are going to do a little bit of shopping for some things that DD needs before going back to school this week. I am sad that vacation is almost over for us and DD. I've really enjoyed the time that I've spent with the family, staying up late and sleepign in.
But all good things must come to an end. Time is flying way too fast!! I've done a couple of layouts that I wanted to share.
