{The Storms Are Coming}

Wow, it's been a few days since I updated my blog! Yikes! Tonight we are under a Tornado watch and a Thunderstorm watch and a Flash Flood Warning. My friend just called a few minutes ago and said that a cell of storms was about 30 miles from us. There is another MAJOR cell right behind it.
I love storms. I love to go out and watch them. I have to admit that I am scared about the tornado though. I don't like them at all. This post is going to be quick. I have a lot to do before the storms hit.
If all goes well, and we don't lose power, and I can get the paper pack loaded, tomorrow will be Thrifty Thursday! I will be selling this paper pack for tomorrow only for $1. After tomorrow, the price goes back up to $3.

{Happy Valentine's Day}

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! I am so bad, I haven't even went to get my loved ones any goodies! I guess I could make an excuse and blame it on the weather since we do have ice and snow that fell overnight last night. But I won't, you want to know why....I do this every year! I am the worlds worst about going out and getting cards and sending them to my loved ones and going out before Valentine's Day to get my immediate family anything. Nope, not me, will go today on Valentine's Day and get George and Taylor something. My best friend sent a card and I got it today. That's what reminded me that I didn't even get a card and send it. I think that we will pick Taylor up early from school today and take her out for supper and to a store so that she can get something. She's been wanting to go to Hobby Lobby so that she can get some scrapbook stuff. I do digital and she wants to do paper! Go figure!!! ha!
I did take the last two days, because that's how long it took me to complete these two layouts for George and Taylor. I think that they are my best yet! I really wanted to spend that extra time on them. This is our first OFFICIAL Valentine's Day together as a Family!!! It's been 10 months and 5 days since we adopted Taylor! Have loved all the firsts all over again! It's been fun!

Today was another snow day for Taylor. This makes 4 this winter. I sure hope that they don't have to go any longer at the end of the year. It's like June 7th before they get out as it is now. It is really cold, the wind chill is -1 degrees. Burr!!!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful valentine's day! I wanted to have a sale, but Vicki has been working so hard on getting xcart ready for us, that I didn't have the heart to ask her to change everything. Next month (March) Oscraps turns 1, and I think that we are planning on a huge sale then with lots of entertainment. Never know, just have to check in either here on my blog or over at Oscraps!

{New Goodies}

Just a short entry for today. Between my investigations with my DD, I did manage to complete a couple of packets of word art done and they are in the store.. My DH and I are pretty much stressed out. I spent the whole day yesterday on the couch sleeping most of the day. Slept most of the night and got up at noon today. With the lack of sleep, and the tremendous amount of stress, we are pretty much zapped out. I think we need a break!

{Did You Get The License Plate}

of that MAC truck that ran over me yesterday?! My body feels like it's been ran over by a MAC truck!
After being up for 30 straight hours, I finally got a little rest. I was up and down most of the night with leg and foot cramps. My legs hurt really bad today! I also have a head cold thats moved down to a chest cold now too. So I am coughing a lot! I feel like crawling in a hole. Really I do!
What an eventful day it was yesterday! My DD is in major COCKA! I love her, don't get me wrong, but her actions, lies and deceitfulness has taken a toll on this family. This isn't the first go around with her, it's been a uphill battle, but it's getting worse. I do not understand teenagers today! They don't care!!!!!
I'm still playing detective to find out just what all she's been up to. What I am finding out isn't good!
I don't understand ....I really don't, how you can just throw everything away, trust, honesty, and love. Kids today do not even show an ounce of remorsefulenss. It's no biggie to them.
Anyway, I have a billion things on my plate right now. I will be taking more time off from the computer and designing to take care of the problems that seem to have escalated out of control. Hopefully this delay is only temporay. But my family comes first. First and foremost! I hope you understand. I'm not leaving by any stretch of the imagination, just taking a few days to get things lined up with my family and then maybe a couple to regroup!
I want to also wish Vicki Stegall a Happy Birthday today! She's the owner of Oscraps where I sell my designs. She is the bestest!!! Happy Birthday Lady!!!

{Teenagers}

Ok I just had the holy bajesus scared out of me! The school calls asking if Taylor is at home...No, she's at school. Well we can't find her...her books and her backpack and purse are in her first hour room, but Taylor's not. We don't know where she's at, but her boyfriend (excuse me) came to the first hour teacher to get Taylors books, backpack and purse. The teacher wouldn't give it to him. They give me a phone number and tell me if I hear from Taylor to give them a call. Freaking out here. George is at the health department, and isn't here. So, I call him and like a bat out of hell, he rushes over to the school. The first thing we think of, is she's been kidnapped by her biological family. I am in tears when the phone rings again. It's Taylor's counselor, they've found her, will talk to her and then have her call. I got ahold of George and told him and he was almost at the school and was going to go find out what was going on. Well then Taylor calls with this story that she's following up with the policemen about her cell phone being stolen on Monday. I don't think that it takes over one hour to do that, plus why have some boy try to get her books, bag and purse......PLUS, the big kicker.....she left her purse out on Monday right.....and her ipod got stolen right....and we told her that she had to keep her purse with her.....guess what.....laying in the freakin first hour class, the same class where her ipod was stolen. Ok, her house key is in there....why don't teenagers freaking listen! I have had it!!!!
I think I aged 20 years in about 10 seconds.....oh my god what a scare....oh my god why won't she listen. Any suggestions from those of you out there that have teenagers?
I am at my wits end!!!

{Tuesdays Muse}

Well I have to say I am so disappointed in people lately. Yesterday, my DD was in her first hour class, and she had to go to the back of the room to work on something. When she got back to her desk (5 minutes later), someone had gotten into her purse and had stolen her ipod with her FM tuner attached. Needless to say, after talking to the police at the school, I doubt very seriously that she will ever see it again. The cop said that two ipods had been stolen yesterday and what the kids do is sell it for $10, listen to the music and re-sell it for $10 and the cycle continues. I felt really bad for DD because she's waited for a couple of years to get one because we could never afford it for her. She's not even had it 4 months and something like this happens. I've asked her to keep her purse with her at all times, no matter what, because theft is so bad at her school. Lesson learned and about $250 just went down the drain! You know it's getting so bad that I hate to even leave my house anymore. People! Dishonest thieves! It felt awful knowing there wasn't a darn thing we could do for DD except talk to the police. If the ipod is found, I really feel for the person whose possession it's on...we will press charges! It was awful to see your child cry because something so valuable to her was stolen. She'll just have to work extra hard to raise the money to get another one. But this one will NOT be going to school...believe me!!!! Momma done put her foot down!!!

I've had such a head cold for the past few days. The pressure in my head is enormous and I feel like it could explode at any time! I've been taking some allergy medicine, but that hasn't been helping. May have to get something more potentinent. My sleep patterns are still off to. I swear this has been awful trying to sleep. I don't know what the heck is going on. I'll stop working early, and go and watch some tv. It almost ALWAYS puts me to sleep. I'll sleep for about an hour and be up again for two. It's a vicious cycle and my body is wearing down!

Here's an article that I think would be good for Designers and Creative Team Members to read. La Wanna Desjardin did this article called "More Than A Pretty Page".
Definetely going to be working with my creative team to brainstorm what the next step is. I have a wonderful team but could always do some things to make it better!

I can't hardly believe that tomorrow is Friday. Where the heck did the week go. I feel like I have accomplished nothing this week. I know that I have, but not like I wanted to.

{Baby It's Cold Outside}

Oh my gosh it is so cold here today. The low this morning was 5 degrees, and the high was 29 degrees. Tonight it's suppose to dip back down into the single digits. We also are getting snow. We have about 1 inch right now. According to the weather channel, we could have this for a few days. It's not going to get any warmer either. Actually by next Tuesday, we are going to be down to Zero! The furnace has been running a - l - o - t! Hate to see what that bill is going to be.
I didn't get a whole lot done today for some reason. It took me awhile to do a layout, but it didn't take all day. I think I was in a fog all day, yal, that's it! lol!!!
